"Road to Guantanamo" is the story of four British friends who in September 2001 traveled from Tipton in the Midlands in-gles, to attend a wedding and a va-cations in Pakistan. It took two and a half to return home. Their journey took them from Tipton to Kara-chi, Kandahar, Kabul and Konduz, where they were captured by Northern Alliance (made up of different factions of armed groups united by the goal of overthrowing the Taliban regime) and then passed to Americans, who took them Kandahar. From there, three of them (Shafiq, 23, and Ru-hel Asif, both 19 years old) were transferred to the North American-na base at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, where they remained prisoners for over two years, subjected to countless indignities and torture. On March 5, 2004 were moved to the UK. In London, after being questioned, were released without charge.
